Sierra Corriea, AMFT
Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #145269
Providing individual and couples therapy for anxiety, relationship building, and parenthood adjustment to women, pregnant and postpartum people, and parents in San Francisco + California
Sierra is genuinely curious and so easy to talk to. Ease of connection is one of her superpowers.
ON LEAVE UNTIL NOVEMBER 2025
When you are not quite feeling like yourself but don’t know where to start, or the old coping mechanisms aren’t working . . .when you are preparing for or experiencing a major life transition and it’s making the system work less smoothly - in yourself and relationship - sitting with someone who’s attentive, calming, and has her own toolkit to share can help increase the calm. Sierra will do just that and more.
You will want to work with Sierra if you are
experiencing: general or pregnancy - postpartum related mild-moderate anxiety or depression (like you are technically getting some life things done, but you do not feel like yourself),
are someone who struggles to put their needs on the same level as others’,
are adjusting to parenthood (whether you are a birthing or non-birthing parent, an individual or a couple),
are planning a second pregnancy after a rough first time, or
are a former dancer/artist navigating your identity outside of your art form.
About:
A Northern California native, she has called San Francisco home since 2011. She's always enjoyed listening to people’s stories - hearing about their passions, struggles, and inner experiences.
After years of serious dance training, she became a yoga instructor and personal trainer in her early 20’s and found that connecting one-on-one with clients and supporting them was incredibly meaningful. She completed an undergraduate degree in psychology at California State University, Long Beach, and a masters in counseling psychology at USF, receiving her clinical training in hospital and community mental health settings.
While concurrently completing graduate studies, training as a therapist, and becoming a mom, it became more and more apparent that perinatal mental health is what she feels most drawn to support. She feels honored to be by her clients' sides as they navigate the messiness of life, especially the transition into parenthood.
She has Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) roots and uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and somatic techniques to help clients find grounding and clarity.
In her spare time she loves reading, dancing (ballet and modern dance are her passions) , and spending quality time with friends and family.
